These designs form a set which celebrates the wonderfully colourful, and unique bird life surrounding my studio. The birds featured I see daily or seasonally, and the context in which I have painted them represents the way they live. The abstract rendering of their feathers and colours alludes to the movement they create when flying overhead ; sometimes nearby, but just out of reach. The other studies are drawn from birds observed close at hand in their natural rainforest habitat.
